SCIENTIFIC STUDIES WHICH SHOW THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PULEVA OMEGA 3

It reduces total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and homocysteine, cardiovascular risk factors
The daily ingestion of skimmed milk enriched with omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA), oleic acid and vitamins B6, E and folic acid, reduces total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and homocysteine, risk factors for cardiovascular disease. (Clin Nutr. 2003 Apr;22(2):175-82).

It reduces the level of triglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and homocysteine
The daily ingestion of semi-skimmed milk enriched with omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA), oleic acid and vitamins B6, E and folic acid, reduces the level of triglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and homocysteine, risk factors for cardiovascular disease. This is one of the principal conclusions obtained after undertaking a clinical trial in adults between 45-65 years of age, which has just been published by the scientific magazine Nutrition, and which was undertaken by a team of researchers from Puleva Biotech, the University of Granada, and the San Cecilio University Hospital of Granada.

It helps to reduce the symptoms of arteriosclerosis
PULEVA Biotech has demonstrated that thanks to the daily consumption of PULEVA Omega 3 the claudication distance increases (term which makes reference to the limp caused by pain felt in the legs when walking, due to the arteries becoming obstructed and thereby reducing blood flow to the muscles), improving the quality of life of patients and significantly reducing cholesterol levels. The research was undertaken in collaboration with the San Cecilio University Hospital of Granada and has been published in the Journal of Nutrition (J Nutr 2005;135:1393).

It reduces cholesterol and cardiovascular risk factors
Therapeutic changes in lifestyle, undertaken as part of a cardiac rehabilitation programme which consisted of regular exercise and the ingestion of a combination of nutrients in the diet (fish oil, oleic acid, vitamins B-6 and E), reduced the number of risk factors in myocardial infarction patients, which supports the employment of nutritional programmes in the secondary prevention of coronary disease. The research has been published in the Journal of Nutrition magazine (J Nutr 2007;137:384)(J Nutr 2007;137:384).
