PULEVA, the Ministry of Health and the ACB collaborate on a compaign to fight child obesity

news imageThe minister for Health and Consumer Affairs, Elena Salgado, has signed an agreement with the president of the Spanish basketball league (ACB), Eduardo Portela, in order to promote healthy lifestyle habits and prevent obesity, particularly amongst children and youths.  The agreement established that, in collaboration with Puleva, a campaign called "Move yourself against child obesity" will be put into motion, with the broadcasting of adverts promoting physical exercise during the televised games of the final phase of the season.

40% of the adult population consume milk below the recommended amounts

news imageMore than twenty specialists agree on the necessity of highlighting the need to increase the consumption of milk and dairy amongst the Spanish population, whose intake of same is below the nutritional requirements established by experts.  This is one of the main topics covered in the VI Conference of the Spanish Society for Community Nutrition (SENC), being held this week in Ibiza, and during which the book "Milk, dairy and health" was today presented.
