ambassador for the campaign "how to eat healthily from the age of 40
onwards"
In Spain, around 8 million women are in the climacterium stage, a
figure which represents 35% of the female population. Of
them, it is estimated that more than 85% suffer from a deterioration in
their quality of life due to the changes that take place at this time.
To reduce the symptoms of the menopause it is crucial to ingest 30-60
mg/day
of soya isoflavones. PULEVA facilitates this daily intake with PULEVA
Calcium with Soya Isoflavones.

Soya Isoflavones and a healthy
life
The loss of oestrogen in women associated with the menopause
produces, amongst other things, the manifest loss of bone calcium and,
as a consequence, increases the risk of bone fractures. In fact, in the
5 years following the menopause, women can lose up to 20 per cent of
their bone mass.
Soya isoflavones are vegetable oestrogens which act upon the organism
in a very similar way to women's hormones. This is why their
ingestion can contribute to the reduction of diverse symptoms that
derive from the menopause, such as hot flushes, fatigue, night sweats,
mood swings, etc., and help to maintain bone density in women.
PULEVA Calcium with soya isoflavones is a functional milk enriched with
calcium and soya isoflavones, developed specially to help women
mitigate symptoms of the menopause from the age of 40 onwards,
and which also preserves the taste of the traditional PULEVA Calcium.
Campaign “How to eat
healthily from the age of 40 onwards”
To make women aware of the importance of looking after themselves when
they reach a certain age, PULEVA has kicked off the campaign
“How to eat healthily from the age of 40 onwards", which
consists in the distribution amongst the main Spanish towns and cities
of decalogues written in collaboration with the Palacios Institute
containing
practical advice for the healthy diet of the mature woman.
The presentation of the campaign took place in
the Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Museum and enjoyed the presence of
Belén Rueda, image of PULEVA Calcium with Soya Isoflavones,
the sub-director general of PULEVA Biotech, Dr. Julio Boza,
Sub-director General of PULEVA Biotech and Dr. Santiago Palacios,
director of the Palacios Institute of Women's Health and Medicine. All
three highlighted the importance of intensifying the healthcare of
women through the acquisition of healthy lifestyle habits around the
menopausal stage.
At the same time, at the initiative of PULEVA Biotech in collaboration
with the Clinical Hospital of Granada, an in-depth study is being
carried out on the benefits of the ingestion of calcium and soya
isoflavones in menopausal women.
